About Us

History

Since our humble beginning in May 2021, we have worked to strengthen our core services without losing the same Tactical quality our customers count on. We have eyes and ears on each delivered project to maintain our safety and service standards start-to-finish.

Our team has grown from 2 poly fusers to a diverse team of more than 35 employees (probably 45 by the time you read this). And we are so proud to say that those same 2 poly fusers are still with us all these years later.

We have outgrown three yards. We have doubled our gross sales year after year. We have completed ALL our work with a PERFECT safety record to date. And we have continued to add to our valued customer list simply by word of mouth.

Our success has been built the old-fashioned way – little by little, day by day. And we are happy to give credit where credit is due: our amazing team and our loyal customers.
We look forward to continued growth for our employees individually, our company as a team, and our community as a whole!

Our Mission & Vission

At Tactical, we will KNOW better, DO better, and BE better.

We will KNOW better by staying up-to-date with the best safety, professional, and technical trainings available.
We will DO better for our customers by applying all our combined knowledge and experience to provide excellent service, turnkey solutions and creative problem solving.

We will BE better by ensuring our team members are not only building successful careers but also providing quality lives for themselves and their families.

TACTICAL’s core values

Core Values:  GRIT

Genuine – We are who we are, and we’re not who we’re not. We are the hardest working sons-of-a-gun out here. We are the team you call on when you need it done right and need it done right now. We are not “Yes Men”. We don’t cut corners, and we don’t put our team at risk. We aren’t perfect, and we won’t pretend to be. But we do deliver quality and we deliver it safely.

Resilience – When the other guys pack it up and go home, we’re still grinding. When your contractor says it can’t be done or it’s too small a job – we will knock it out. When we’re faced with challenges that make others shrug their shoulders and say “not my problem”, we will keep at it until we help you find a solution. We don’t give up. Ever.

Integrity – Doing the right thing even when no one is looking. In our industry, this is sadly very rare. While this shouldn’t be a stand-out – it undoubtedly is. Did we make a mistake – We’ll tell you. Have we run into some unexpected changes – We’ll tell you. Is there a better, safer, cheaper way? – We’ll tell you. Our customers have learned to trust us, and at the end of the day that peace of mind is priceless.

& Teamwork – We pride ourselves in cross-training and being prepared. Our team is tight-knit and ready to tackle your project. Fluid and product movement is our specialty, and that allows us to handle your project from start-to-finish. Does your well or treatment site need water transfer, buried pipeline, specialty fab, and roustabout assembly? – We do all of that, and we do it well.

TACTICAL Team

Katey Church
Co-founder & President

As a Midland native, born and raised here in the Permian, Katey is no stranger to rapid growth and unexpected happenings. She graduated from Greenwood High School and earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University. After working several years in commercial real estate, she transitioned into office administration in the oil & gas pipeline sector. There she met her husband BW Church in 2018, and together they have tackled the impossible – living together, working together, and building a company together. They are the true definition of yin and yang – one a risk-adverse, overthinking, worry wart and one a fearless visionary unphased by the wild ups and downs of our industry.

BW Church
Co-founder & Vice President

Growing up in North Texas, BW saw up close the rise and fall of the Barnett Shale. Since he began his career at 18, he has witnessed the ins and outs of the energy industry. However, water is his calling. He started with laying aluminum pipe, worked his way to water consultant with EOG in the Eagleford, and ended up in the Wild West in 2018. Whether it be managing freshwater resources, calculating pipeline capacity and volume, or optimizing a treatment facility, BW is right at home in all things water. His tenacity and no-nonsense approach have earned him the trust of small independent operators and big player company men alike.

Juan Rodriguez
Operations Manager

Juan was born and raised in Cd. Juarez Mexico and relocated to California at the age of 13. He worked at Searles Valley Chemicals for 17.5 years where he learned plant operations, control room (DCS), I&E, and maintenance. Juan moved to West Texas in 2016 with his wife April and 3 kids to work with Gradiant Energy as the On-The-Fly Water Treatment Manager working with MIOX/DeNora units making Sodium Hypochlorite & Mixed Oxidants Solutions with their on-site chemical generator installations. During COVID he worked with GTUIT as their Operations Specialist for Flare Capture, fuel conditioning, fuel drill & completions, and NGL recovery. In 2021, Juan went back to water treatment with Purestream Services as Operations Support Manager. And in 2024, he joined the Tactical family to help with the day-to-day operations of the company working together with Katey and BW.

Silvia Guerrero
Office Administrator

Very proud of her Mexican heritage, Silvia was born and raised in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua Mexico. She and her family moved to the US when she was 9 years old, and they have called Midland home ever since. After she graduated from Midland High (we won’t say when because that was a looooong time ago), she worked as an office secretary for 8 years at the St. Andrews Presbyterian Mission, a non-profit agency. She then kicked off a 13-year career in commercial real estate as a multi-family property manager, where she met Katey (also a very loooooong time ago). She is a phenomenal mother to 3 children, Abuela to 6 grandchildren, and has one very spoiled cat named Jack. She enjoys dancing, traveling and small remodeling projects.
